Description: Provided GIS Analysis and Modeling support for a Water Needs Assessment for the Tsuu T’ina Nation lands. The GIS analysis inlcuded illustrating the developemnt constraints on the land base based on set-back distances (including oil/gas wells, landfills, road right-of-ways, etc.), riparian buffers, Cultural areas, etc. Existing population and water demands were calculated as well as potential water sources were investigated, including surface water and ground water. Many aspects of the water hrdrological cycle and existing/future land use were modeled (including surface runoff and water quality). A number of scenarios were run over a time horizon of seven generations (150-years) to simulate future population growth and water needs (i.e. supply and demand).
