Description: The BC Ministry of Forests retained Tesera Systems Inc. to develop, with the involvement of local interest groups, a series of future forest scenarios for the Robson Valley Enhanced Forest Management Pilot Project (EFMPP). This was a large scale project involving multiple stakeholder facilitation, consensus-based scenario development, spatial modelling/forecasting, and analysis components. A wide array of social, economic and ecological objectives were encompassed in the project. Tesera's responsibilities include facilitation of all planning sessions with local interest groups, preparation of all the data inputs necessary for building and forecasting scenarios, modelling/analyzing and reporting on scenario outcomes, 3D visualization of selected viewpoints under different scenarios, and preparing the total product to support more detailed future forestry planning in the Robson Valley area. A significant subcomponent of the project was to develop an animated visualization movie showing how the landscape could potentially change over time based on the different management options and emphases formulated during the planning component of the project.
