Michael Kieser

GIS Systems Analyst

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering from UNB, a Master of Science in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta. He has over 10 years of experience in the Geomatics field and is an advocate for open source GIS and embraces new technology.

Michael grew up in rural Nova Scotia where he inherited a taste for travel and adventure. Having travelled to Europe and Asia on several occasions, and lived and played in the south-western US, he enjoys passing the tradition on to his family through backpacking and canoeing expeditions in the Rockies. He is also an avid mountain biker, cross-country skier, and yogi, and some consider him a tree hugger.
